About Me

My Journey

After 25 years in the traditional world of work, my own existential crisis took root, compelling me to search for deeper meaning in my life. The inner process guided me to becoming a coach and later a psychotherapist. Pivoting into the field of wellness and ultimately depth psychology, fulfills me with meaning and purpose. I believe the field chose me rather than the other way around. I am reminded of Carl Jung’s assertion that you cannot take people further than you have gone yourself.

I bring extensive life and work experience to my private practice. For over a decade, I have sought mentors, supervisors, educational programs, and clinical consultants specializing in psychotherapy and depth psychology at the highest levels to build expertise and ensure my competence. In this pursuit, I have found myself on a journey of self-discovery that has instilled in me profound empathy and a heightened capacity for understanding the human psyche.

My Approach

My approach is grounded in — but not dominated by — my healthy masculinity, bolstered by my feeling function. My inquisitive, caring style is relatable yet frank. As a middle-aged man, I bring a wide array of professional and life experiences to my practice. I have blended several modalities from developmental to attachment theory to neuroscience and Jungian psychology. I listen deeply to your stories and allow you the space to download and process information about your experiences and feelings. As appropriate, I interpret your conscious and unconscious stories to aid you in bridging the gap to clarity, understanding, and new perspectives.

The small shifts you will experience are like precious mustard seeds, tiny and seemingly inconsequential. But given the right conditions, they grow into healthy, robust plants with tough stalks and large leaves. Along the way, I will teach you how to use your mind differently so that it will reorganize in a generative way. You will build on your mind’s tendencies to integrate and move toward wholeness. The process begins slowly, requires self-reflection, and a commitment to show up for yourself.

You likely didn’t get to where you are now overnight, so be realistic about the work required to create a better future. That said, when you commit yourself to the process, it doesn’t have to take a long time to get material relief and meaningful progress.

I want to help you live the life you were meant to. I am confident in my abilities to aid you in your emotional healing, mental health, and wellness goals. You will find I am adept at speaking your language while helping you translate your symptoms and stories into meaning and healing. Over time, you will succeed in changing your own story.

If something is not right and you know in your gut that you need help, you have come to the right place for a successful start. I welcome you to schedule an initial consultation to discuss your situation, symptoms, and issues. I assure you that I will be transparent about whether I feel I can help you.
